Spandan is a sanskrit word that signifies vitality. Often loosely translated to 'pulse' or 'alive,' it has more to do with the gift of life than living. Spandan.com gets its name from the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) magazine, Spandan.

"Fond Memories of Early days @ MAMC when the hostel was not ready and 'old jail' quarters were our dorms and barracks of students guarded by the warder quarters. That's where the main entrance of the college is now!!!"
